Production-readiness implementation report

Date: October 17, 2026

Delivered

  • Redesigned homepage, header, mobile menu, and balanced footer with separate legal links.
  • Replaced outdated homepage media with two reviewed, genuine app screenshots and added accessible enlargement dialogs. Removed 27 unreviewed or unsuitable promotional assets from public directories; originals remain in ignored media-review/held/.
  • Corrected XAMPP MariaDB, Laragon pricing/unlimited sites/no-Pro-tier claims, and htdocs-only migration wording. Expanded comparison and migration pages.
  • Added mobile documentation navigation, search and page contents; repaired relative links, headings, edit paths, and missing-content handling.
  • Corrected app-source docs about project/data paths, installer behavior, testing, updates, and privacy. README now uses the reviewed service screenshot.
  • Restricted downloads to Windows x64 installers and tied displayed checksums to the selected asset. Improved release notes, sitemap, canonical/social metadata, security headers, and analytics disclosure.
  • Made Next commands resolve the real Windows checkout path. Added regression tests, HTTP smoke checks, CI validation, and documented Node/pnpm versions.
  • Fixed case/separator duplicate XAMPP candidates in the app with a Rust regression test.

Validation

Check Result
ESLint Passed
Website regression tests 4 passed
Next production build and TypeScript Passed, 47 generated outputs
HTTP smoke test 38 content routes; links/anchors/assets, single H1, canonicals, search, sitemap, 404 passed
App documentation validator 25 MDX files / 25 navigation slugs passed
Rust migration regression 1 passed
Responsive page-width checks All 38 routes at phone, tablet, desktop in both themes; 228 checks, no page overflow
Browser interactions Mobile navigation, docs navigation, search results, screenshot open/Escape close passed
Desktop visual evidence artifacts/home-desktop.png, artifacts/footer-desktop.png

The browser capture mechanism produced incorrectly scaled mobile screenshots, so those captures are not visual proof. Phone layout was inspected before that capture issue and responsive DOM measurements passed. This is not a comprehensive WCAG certification or a measured Lighthouse performance audit.

Publication dependencies

  1. Publish the app-repository documentation changes and docs/images/services-current.png before the website: CI and Netlify read upstream app content.
  2. Publish the website changes, then run SMOKE_BASE_URL against its deployed URL and check actual hosting headers, analytics configuration, and release download links.
  3. Optional authentic captures remain: import success, supported SSL/vhost flows, phpMyAdmin, phpinfo, installer, meaningful terminal output, and a fresh GIF. No MP4 or invented founder photo is needed. See LAUNCH-MEDIA.md.

No commit, push, or production deployment was performed. Local preview: http://localhost:3000.

v0.1.12 preparation - 18 October 2026

  • Audited current project details, installed-only website PHP selection, mkcert HTTPS, and upgrade lock handling against the app source and live UI.
  • Added the project/PHP/HTTPS workflow to the homepage, documentation navigation and footer. Documented terminal/global-INI limitations and future framework/Git/database scope.
  • Captured four real screenshots with private folders excluded. Internal v0.1.15 labels remain unaltered and explicitly explained; the next public version is v0.1.12.
  • Downloads continue to use published GitHub assets. No unpublished installer is advertised as downloadable.
  • Fixed null Git dates for newly added docs (previously broke production TypeScript builds).
  • Consolidated four app validation reports into docs/RELEASE-VALIDATION.md and removed the obsolete temporary build log. Useful regression tests, source assets, user projects and recovery backups are retained.

Release gates still requiring final qualification: clean Windows and cross-account installs, managed browser trust, offline WebView2, uninstall trust cleanup, and final-artifact installation. Existing app bundle-size warnings remain. This is release preparation, not a claim that all production qualification is complete.

Validation this turn: website production build passed (48 generated outputs); four website tests and ESLint passed; production HTTP smoke passed all 39 pages plus links/assets/search/sitemap/404. App frontend tests: 26 passed; documentation: 26 pages validated. Browser automation was disabled by Work settings, so desktop/mobile visual interaction review remains unverified.

Cleanup also removed the superseded website production proposal and app HTTPS proposal; current implementation report, project roadmap, local HTTPS guide and consolidated validation document replace them.

Removed the unreferenced old services screenshot after confirming no source references. Kept the PHP download capture still used in the gallery.

Final app candidate: v0.1.12 NSIS built, updater signature verified, SHA-256 sidecar generated, and matching metadata staged. 29 Rust tests and independent PHP 8.3/8.5 HTTP/HTTPS integration passed. Candidate installation and publication were not performed. Windows Authenticode status is NotSigned. One dummy metadata-test fixture remains because automatic approval review blocked its recursive deletion.
