Audit date: 23 October 2026. Scope: first-party app Markdown/MDX, release guidance, website source and synced content. Vendor documentation, historical release evidence and generated build caches are not current product guidance.
v0.1.17 was published on 23 October 2026. GitHub installer digest verification passes and the installed executable reports 0.1.17. The remaining coverage is a clean-machine/upgrade test and live Laravel HTTP/HTTPS smoke. At this check the local HTTPS service was unavailable, so the real-site test is not recorded as passed. Website deployment must consume the reviewed app documentation revision. See docs/RELEASE-VALIDATION.md.
- Feature status and roadmap now identify v0.1.17 source; historical versions remain historical.
- Configuration reference distinguishes persistent PHP settings from app-managed directives and explains the additive Apache migration.
- Troubleshooting and FAQ explain the exact parent .htaccess failure, public document root, and log-path limitations.
- Build guidance uses Node 24 and npm ci; bundled resources must be verified rather than replaced from XAMPP.
- Release runbooks use the verified build/finalize pipeline, concrete v0.1.17 artifacts and installed acceptance gates; obsolete MSI process-killing/cleanup instructions removed.
- Local install guidance no longer targets v0.1.11 or suggests deleting runtime resources for cleanup.
- Historical handoffs and planning documents remain available, with notices pointing to current guidance.
Paths are relative to each named repository. Stop the relevant development server before deleting build outputs. Regeneration commands are shown; this list is not an executable deletion script.
| Repository / path | Recommendation | Condition / consequence |
|---|---|---|
| App: dist/ | Safe generated-output candidate | Recreated by npm run build; keep if currently previewing it. |
| Website: .next/ | Safe generated-output candidate | Recreated by npm run build; stop the website first. |
| Website: .source/ | Safe generated-output candidate | Recreated by the MDX build pipeline. |
| Website: tsconfig.tsbuildinfo | Safe cache candidate | Recreated by TypeScript/build. |
| Website: content/docs/, content/root-markdown/, content/docs-meta.json | Safe generated-content candidates | Regenerate with node scripts/prepare-content.mjs; app checkout must be available. |
| App: review-artifacts/vite.log, vite-error.log | Optional old development logs | Retain if diagnosing a still-open failure. |
| Website: artifacts/build-v0.1.14.log | Optional old build log | Keep any needed release evidence elsewhere first. |
| Website: artifacts/footer-desktop.png, footer-mobile.png, home-desktop.png | Optional review screenshots | These are ignored review outputs; retain approved public media. |
| App: docs/development/release-v0.1.14.md | Archive candidate, not automatic deletion | Historical handoff; prefer moving into docs/archive and updating references. |
| App: scripts/download-apache-simple.ps1, prepare-binaries-simple.ps1, prepare-binaries-clean.ps1 | Review before deletion | Legacy alternate preparation scripts; check all CI/docs references and maintainer workflows before removal. |
- apache/, mysql/, php/, phpmyadmin/, tools/: bundled or installed runtimes and licenses; not disposable development clutter.
- www/, logs/, user data, config backups, databases and additional PHP branches: may contain active user work or recovery data.
- review-artifacts/* backup and runtime directories: include preinstall configuration, upgrade backups, private certificates and test profiles. Inspect individually; names alone do not establish disposability.
- release/, latest.json, packaging manifests and src-tauri/target/release/bundle/: preserve exact signed release evidence until archived and verified. Cargo target removal is rebuildable but would also remove these artifacts.
- docs/archive/, docs/RELEASE-VALIDATION.md, docs/LOCAL-HTTPS.md, ADRs, PROJECT-ROADMAP.md, website LAUNCH-MEDIA.md and IMPLEMENTATION-REPORT.md: retain design/validation/media provenance. Historical status is not a claim of current readiness.
- node_modules/: reinstallable, but deleting it is not necessary for repository cleanliness and interrupts local tools.
- Signing keys, certificates and .env files: never include in cleanup batches or publish as documentation.
Do not relabel previous installer hashes, latest.json signatures or WinGet URLs. npm run finalize-release updates them only after v0.1.17 installer bytes and signature exist. Website downloads continue to come from published GitHub assets. All deletion candidates above require a separate reviewed cleanup action.
- App documentation validator: passed, 26 MDX pages and 26 navigation slugs.
- Website content preparation: passed against the sibling app checkout.
- Website regression tests: 4 passed.
- Website ESLint: passed.
- Website production build and TypeScript: passed, 48 generated outputs.
- Production HTTP smoke: passed, 39 content pages, headings, canonicals, internal links/anchors, assets, 404, sitemap and search.
- Git whitespace check: passed for documentation edits.
- No cleanup deletions, deployment, installer build, signing, publication or installed-app upgrade were performed during this documentation audit.
These source changes are pending a future app release; the version remains 0.1.17 and published installers/update metadata are unchanged.
- Apache and project copy now distinguish localhost/default www from connected folders elsewhere. English and Hindi labels were updated; unavailable Apache uptime/memory fields were removed.
- Backup and restore text explains that external project file contents are excluded. Project, upgrade, configuration, FAQ and XAMPP migration guidance now describe connecting folders without copying them.
- The website hero and documentation index use a reviewed native 1920 × 1032 Services capture from installed v0.1.17. It is the original tool-supplied JPEG, without further compression. Older project captures remain labeled and have HD retakes tracked in website LAUNCH-MEDIA.md.
- Website screenshots support enlargement and direct access to originals, using their native aspect ratios. Relative documentation image links resolve to the copied public assets.
- Validation: 42 app tests, TypeScript, documentation and release-input checks, app frontend build, website lint, 4 website tests, production build and 39-page HTTP smoke checks passed. Built pages also verified the new screenshot links and external-folder/backup guidance. Existing Vite chunk/import warnings remain.
- Browser automation was disabled in Work settings, so this pass did not interactively verify the website dialog in a browser. The native Services capture was visually reviewed. A new installed app build was not generated.
