[failproofai-legion-934] Clear the fixable Dependabot alerts and restore the fixture pins #931 moved - #934
Clears every open Dependabot alert that has a fix, and restores the three SDK integration fixtures that Dependabot's grouped security update #931 moved off the release each one exists to test. That move is why main's frameworks and runtimes integration shards are red.
Does not install.@llamaindex/[email protected] peers on zod@^3.23.8, so npm ci fails ERESOLVE. Global setup installs every fixture first, so it takes down both frameworks shards and runtimes. vite's module runner masks the error as code.charCodeAt is not a function
#931 also moved the runtimes fixture to [email protected], but deno-npm.ts still imports npm:[email protected]. Deno resolves that against the fixture's node_modules and can't find it, which fails the two "Deno with npm: specifiers" cases by itself.
Fix. All three fixtures are back on their pre-#931package.json and lockfile (ai-4 and langchain-0.3 byte-identical; llamaindex-0.11 plus the fast-uri override below). deno-npm.ts imports the zod version it installs. The new __tests__/ci/ts-sdk-fixture-pins.test.ts catches both moves before anything installs. I checked that it fails on #931's manifests and on the old specifier.
Each lockfile moves by exactly those packages, re-resolved with npm install --package-lock-only --ignore-scripts. Each MCP 2.3.0 package nests its own @modelcontextprotocol/[email protected], as the client's 2.2.0 override did in #901.
Already fixed on main. 37 open alerts auto-closed at 01:36 UTC when GitHub re-scanned #931's lockfiles. certifi #65 (fp-cloud-cli/uv.lock) is stale: the lock has carried 2026.10.19 since #926, and GitHub's graph for that manifest hasn't refreshed yet.
After this merges, npm audit reports nothing in 10 of the 15 fixtures. The other five carry only the zod row above, plus the two ai@4 advisories SECURITY.md already accepts.
#870 would stop Dependabot from opening fixture PRs like #931 (and #838/#867 before it).
Verification
In node:20 / node:24 containers mirroring the failproofai-ts-sdk-integrations job:
bun run lint: 0 errors (the 5 warnings are pre-existing). bunx tsc --noEmit: clean. __tests__/ci: 247 passed
bun run test:run: 8825 passed, 10 skipped, 1 failed. The failure is redaction-cost.test.ts, a timing-based linearity test that ran alongside a Docker shard; it passes 7/7 alone
bun run test:e2e: 358 passed, 7 skipped
Two CodeRabbit findings are fixed in 6655b3e. The pin test now requires all four supported floors (llamaindex-0.11 included), so deleting one fails it. SECURITY.md now says the two ai@4 rows also need mastra-0 gone before they retire, because @mastra/[email protected] requires ai@^4.
Changelog entries go in a new 1.0.13-beta.0 section. main moved to that version after 1.0.12 shipped, and the branch is rebased onto it.
No correctness, compatibility, or security defects found. The PR restores fixture release floors, aligns the Deno Zod import, applies targeted dependency overrides, and adds a CI guard against future pin drift.
Changes
Restores AI SDK 4, LangChain 0.3, and LlamaIndex 0.11 fixture pins and lockfiles.
Updates fixture-local dependency overrides and the Deno npm: Zod specifier.
Adds fixture-pin validation and documents dependency/security decisions.
Validation
Passeddocker run --rm --network none --read-only -v /review/input/workspace:/work:ro node:24-alpine node -e '<fixture pin and npm: lockfile alignment assertions>' — Validated all 15 fixture directories, required supported floors, named-framework pins, and npm: specifier versions against their lockfiles. (11s)
Passeddocker run --rm --network bridge --read-only -v /review/input/workspace:/work:ro node:24-alpine sh -ceu 'npm ci --ignore-scripts --no-audit --no-fund' — Fresh installs succeeded for all changed fixture manifests and lockfiles: ai-4, ai-5, langchain-0.3, llamaindex-0.11, and mastra-1. (26s)

Documentation
Updated release notes and security documentation to reflect fixture versions and advisory status.
…ore the fixture pins #931 moved
Dependabot's grouped security update #931 reached the zod fix
(GHSA-mrhx-c7xc-m3w5) in three integration fixtures by moving the very
release each one exists to hold, the pin move SECURITY.md rules out:
ai-4 ai 4.3.19 -> 7.0.152
langchain-0.3 @langchain/core 0.3.80 -> 1.3.0, @langchain/langgraph 0.4.10 -> 1.5.2
llamaindex-0.11 llamaindex 0.11.4 -> 0.12.1
each with zod 3.25.76 -> 4.6.7. ai-4 and langchain-0.3 kept installing and
passing against a different major, so two supported floors left the matrix
silently. llamaindex-0.11 stopped installing: @llamaindex/[email protected]
peers on zod@^3.23.8, so `npm ci` fails ERESOLVE (reproduced on node 24
against #931's manifests), and because global setup installs every fixture
before any test runs, the frameworks shards (node 20, 24) and the runtimes
shard went red on main. vite's module runner then masks the real error as
`code.charCodeAt is not a function`. #931 also moved the runtimes fixture to
zod 4.6.7 while deno-npm.ts still imported npm:[email protected], which Deno resolves
against the fixture's node_modules and can no longer find; that fails the two
"Deno with npm: specifiers" cases on its own.
All three fixtures are back on their pre-#931 package.json and lockfile,
and deno-npm.ts imports the zod the runtimes fixture installs.
__tests__/ci/ts-sdk-fixture-pins.test.ts is the tripwire for both moves: a
fixture named for a release line must pin its framework exactly, on that
line, in package.json and the lockfile; and every npm: specifier a fixture
imports must name the version its lockfile installs. Checked to fail on
#931's manifests (ai-4, langchain-0.3, llamaindex-0.11) and on the old
specifier.
The fixable advisories still open after #931 are cleared with
fixture-local overrides (SECURITY.md case 1), re-resolved with
`npm install --package-lock-only --ignore-scripts`; each lockfile moves by
exactly those packages:
ai-5 undici 7.29.1 -> 7.30.1 (3 advisories)
llamaindex-0.11 fast-uri 3.1.8 -> 3.1.9 (4 advisories; back with 0.11.4)
mastra-1 @modelcontextprotocol/server 2.0.0 -> 2.3.0 and
@modelcontextprotocol/client 2.2.0 -> 2.3.0 (4 advisories),
both pinned exactly by @mastra/[email protected]; each brings its
own @modelcontextprotocol/[email protected] nested under it, as
the client's 2.2.0 override did in #901
`npm audit` now reports nothing in 10 of the 15 fixtures. What remains is
zod GHSA-mrhx-c7xc-m3w5 in the five held to zod 3 (ai-4, langchain-0.3,
llamaindex-0.11, and nested in langchain-dup-core and mastra-0), plus the
two ai@4 advisories SECURITY.md already accepts. zod's only fix is 4.6.6,
no zod 3 release carries it, and every copy is required at ^3 by the
framework release its fixture pins; `npm audit fix` in mastra-0 changes
nothing. SECURITY.md case 2: recorded in its table.
Locally, in node:20 and node:24 containers mirroring the CI job: frameworks
(node 20 and 24) 1036 passed / 4 skipped each, runtimes 1132 passed, nextjs
60 passed. Root: lint clean, tsc clean, e2e 358 passed / 7 skipped.

Walkthrough
The pull request restores several TypeScript integration fixtures to specified framework release lines, changes fixture dependency overrides and the Deno Zod import, and adds CI checks for fixture pins. It also documents dependency changes and accepted advisories.
The ai-4, langchain-0.3, and llamaindex-0.11 fixtures use earlier framework release lines and Zod 3.25.76. The Deno fixture imports Zod 4.6.7. A new CI test checks fixture names, framework pins, and npm: specifier versions against lockfiles. The SDK changelog records these changes.
Update advisory overrides and records sdk/typescript/integration/fixtures/ai-5/package.json, sdk/typescript/integration/fixtures/llamaindex-0.11/package.json, sdk/typescript/integration/fixtures/mastra-1/package.json, SECURITY.md, sdk/typescript/CHANGELOG.md, CHANGELOG.md
The fixtures change overrides for undici, fast-uri, and MCP client/server packages. The security and changelog entries document the Zod advisory, affected fixtures, dependency changes, and stated conditions for retiring the accepted-alert entry.
FailproofAI/failproofai#933: Updates root undici and zod overrides. This pull request updates fixture-local overrides and documents related advisories.
FailproofAI/failproofai#930: Adds a root Zod override for an advisory also documented here for fixtures that remain on Zod 3.

I could not establish complete review coverage for defd0f9fa06d, so I did not approve it. I have no specific question to ask — this is a coverage gap on my side, not a request for input.
What the review did establish:
No PR-attributable correctness or compatibility defect found. Static fixture-pin and npm-specifier checks passed; full dependency installation and integration execution could not be run because the isolated container lacked usable npm-registry access.

…t, and name mastra-0 in the ai@4 retirement
Review on #934 (CodeRabbit):
- The pin test's discovery check required ai-4, langchain-0.3 and mastra-0
but not llamaindex-0.11, so deleting that fixture would drop its case
with every assertion still passing. It now requires all four supported
floors.
- SECURITY.md said dropping ai 4.x retires the two ai@4 rows. Both also
cover mastra-0, whose @mastra/[email protected] requires ai@^4, so the ai-4
fixture leaving is not enough; the text now says mastra-0 must go too.

… stop Dependabot proposing the move (#950)
Dependabot's grouped security update #935 opened three minutes after #934
put the ai-4, langchain-0.3 and llamaindex-0.11 pins back, and moved them
off their releases again, mastra-0 with them:
ai-4 ai 4.3.19 -> 5.0.52, zod 3.25.76 -> 4.6.7
langchain-0.3 @langchain/core 0.3.80 -> 1.3.0,
@langchain/langgraph 0.4.10 -> 1.5.2, zod -> 4.6.7
llamaindex-0.11 llamaindex 0.11.4 -> 0.12.1, zod -> 4.6.7
mastra-0 @mastra/core 0.24.9 -> 1.79.0,
@mastra/memory 0.15.13 -> 1.39.0, zod 4.6.6 -> 4.6.7
Since then __tests__/ci/ts-sdk-fixture-pins.test.ts has failed in all
three `test` configurations, and the frameworks (node 20, 24) and runtimes
shards of failproofai-ts-sdk-integrations have failed in global setup
(`code.charCodeAt is not a function`, vite masking the fixture install
failure), on main and so on every open PR, including all thirteen open
Dependabot PRs.
All four fixtures are back on their #934 package.json and lockfile,
byte-for-byte (`git diff cdedbe1^ -- <fixture>` is empty).
langchain-dup-core keeps #935's zod 4.6.6 -> 4.6.7: it names no zod line,
and the fix is in range.
Restoring alone would last minutes: the advisories SECURITY.md accepts for
these floors (ai GHSA-rwvc-j5jr-mgvh, @ai-sdk/provider-utils
GHSA-866g-f22w-33x8, zod GHSA-mrhx-c7xc-m3w5) reopen with the old
lockfiles, and the only fix Dependabot can reach for each is the major the
fixture exists to stay below. So .github/dependabot.yml gets a
security-updates-only npm entry per floor (open-pull-requests-limit: 0
turns version updates off) whose `ignore` ranges hold the framework on its
line, and zod on 3 where the framework requires it. `ignore` is one of the
options security updates read; the ranges are `versions`, because
`update-types` is documented as version-updates only. Fixes on the line
still arrive. The file validates against SchemaStore's dependabot-2.0
schema.
ts-sdk-fixture-pins.test.ts now also fails when a floor has no such entry,
has more than one, leaves version updates on, ignores its framework only
by update-types, ignores a range that would also block its own pin, or
lets zod leave 3 where the fixture pins it there; and when an entry names
a fixture that no longer exists. Each was checked to fail by mutating the
config. SECURITY.md says why the entries exist and that a Dependabot PR
moving a pin anyway should be closed, not merged.
