feat(ScheduleMessages): load scheduled messaged in Chat and add hooks - #3353
First React step of Scheduled Messages. Chat keeps client.scheduledMessages loaded and in sync, and the UI gets hooks to read it. No UI is
added here: the composer action, the scheduled list and the channel indicators follow in REACT-1387 to REACT-1390.
Depends on the stream-chat scheduled messages work (GetStream/stream-chat-js#1951, #1915 and the REACT-1385 composer PR). It stays a draft
until that is released and the stream-chat dependency is bumped here.
🛠 Implementation details
Wiring in Chat (useChat)
client.scheduledMessages.registerSubscriptions() and unregisterSubscriptions() run in the same [client] effect as threads, polls and
reminders.
The new useLoadScheduledMessages(client) hook:
Calls load() when a non-anonymous user is connected and the store isn't already disabled, loaded or loading.
Tries again on connection.changed (online) and connection.recovered. This covers a user who connects after the first render and a load
that failed.
Doesn't log a disabled feature (error 114). Other failures are logged as a warning through client.logger, and rendering continues.
Removes its listeners on unmount. Under StrictMode it queries and subscribes once.
With parentId it returns the thread's replies; with cid, the channel-level messages; with neither, all scheduled messages. The list is
sorted by scheduled_at.
The list keeps its identity while its items are unchanged, so changes outside the scope don't re-render.
useScheduledMessageCount({ cid, parentId? }): the number of scheduled messages for a channel or a thread. It only re-renders when the
number changes.
useCanScheduleMessage():
True when the channel has the schedule-message capability, the feature isn't disabled, and no sent message is being edited.
False when the composition has a poll, a location or a slash command. A slash command means a selected command or text starting with one of the channel's commands.
SCHEDULE_MESSAGE_CAPABILITY is exported too.
Mock builders
generateScheduledMessage.
queryScheduledMessagesApi, scheduledMessageApi, sendScheduledMessageApi and erroredScheduledMessageApi.
dispatchScheduledMessageEvent.
'patch' in HttpMethod.
mockClient stubs queryScheduledMessages with an empty result.
Tests
Chat/__tests__/ChatScheduledMessages.test.tsx:
when loading happens: after connect, not for anonymous users, not offline;
retries;
the disabled feature;
no duplicate loads, including under StrictMode;
live events;
cleanup on unmount.
Tests for each hook, covering scoping, ordering, updates and the no-re-render cases.
Compatibility: additive only. There are no changes to existing components or props.
🎨 UI Changes
None. This PR adds wiring and hooks only.
Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
Added access to scheduled messages, with filtering by channel or thread and sorting by scheduled time.
Added scheduled-message counts and loading or availability status.
Added a way to check whether a message can be scheduled, accounting for channel capabilities and composition constraints.
Scheduled messages now load when an eligible user connects, and stay in sync with message events.
Chat now registers the client.scheduledMessages subscriptions. It loads
the user's scheduled messages once a non-anonymous user is connected, and
retries after the connection comes back. A disabled feature (error 114)
is not logged.
Add useScheduledMessages, useScheduledMessageCount and
useCanScheduleMessage, plus mock builders for scheduled messages.
The change adds hooks for scheduled-message eligibility, lists, and counts. Chat loads scheduled messages for eligible connected users and subscribes to scheduled-message events. Mock builders provide scheduled-message API responses, events, and generated data.

Summary
Eligibility and scheduled-message state hooks src/components/ScheduledMessages/hooks/*, src/components/ScheduledMessages/index.ts, src/components/index.ts
Adds hooks to check scheduling eligibility and read scoped scheduled-message lists and counts. The list hook returns manager status flags, orders messages, and retains the previous list reference when its contents are unchanged. Tests cover eligibility conditions, message scoping, counts, and state updates.
Chat loading, event subscriptions, and mock support src/components/Chat/hooks/*, src/components/Chat/__tests__/ChatScheduledMessages.test.tsx, src/mock-builders/api/*, src/mock-builders/event/*, src/mock-builders/generator/*, src/mock-builders/index.ts
Chat loads scheduled messages when the user and manager state allow it, retries on connection recovery or an online connection change, and manages event subscriptions. Tests cover loading, errors, retries, event updates, and cleanup. Mock builders add scheduled-message API responses, event dispatch, generated data, and client query overrides.

Explanation
The title names the main change: scheduled messages are loaded in Chat and new hooks are added. It matches the changeset's core purpose, and the "feat(ScheduleMessages)" prefix follows conventional-commit style. The title has a typo ("messaged" should be "messages"), but the meaning is clear.
Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description follows the repository template. It has Goal, Implementation details, and UI Changes sections. The Goal states the purpose: first React step of Scheduled Messages, with Chat loading and syncing client.scheduledMessages and new hooks for the UI. It links the Linear ticket and parent issue. The implementation section covers the Chat wiring, the load hook and its retry and error behavior, the three exported hooks, mock builders, and tests. It notes compatibility as additive only. The UI Changes section states that no UI is included. It also flags the draft status and the dependencies on stream-chat-js PRs #1951 and #1915 and the REACT-1385 composer PR, which must be released before merge. The description is complete and specific, and no required section is missing.
Full details: Docstring Coverage

Bump stream-chat before merging.
package.json and yarn.lock still resolve stream-chat to 9.54.0. That release does not publicly export the scheduled-message manager or getScheduledMessageErrorReason used by the changed files. The types script and the TypeScript phase of build therefore fail with missing exports. Update package.json to the released SDK version containing these symbols and regenerate yarn.lock.

Update the stream-chat dependency used by the scheduled-message imports in
useLoadScheduledMessages to a released version that exports
ScheduledMessageErrorReason and getScheduledMessageErrorReason, then regenerate
yarn.lock to resolve that version.

🎯 Goal
Ticket: https://linear.app/stream/issue/REACT-1386
Parent: https://linear.app/stream/issue/REACT-1347
First React step of Scheduled Messages.
Chatkeepsclient.scheduledMessagesloaded and in sync, and the UI gets hooks to read it. No UI isadded here: the composer action, the scheduled list and the channel indicators follow in REACT-1387 to REACT-1390.
Depends on the
stream-chatscheduled messages work (GetStream/stream-chat-js#1951, #1915 and the REACT-1385 composer PR). It stays a draftuntil that is released and the
stream-chatdependency is bumped here.🛠 Implementation details
Wiring in
Chat(useChat)client.scheduledMessages.registerSubscriptions()andunregisterSubscriptions()run in the same[client]effect as threads, polls andreminders.
useLoadScheduledMessages(client)hook:load()when a non-anonymous user is connected and the store isn't already disabled, loaded or loading.connection.changed(online) andconnection.recovered. This covers a user who connects after the first render and a loadthat failed.
client.logger, and rendering continues.Hooks (exported from
stream-chat-react)useScheduledMessages({ cid?, parentId? }):{ scheduledMessages, isLoading, isLoaded, isDisabled }.parentIdit returns the thread's replies; withcid, the channel-level messages; with neither, all scheduled messages. The list issorted by
scheduled_at.useScheduledMessageCount({ cid, parentId? }): the number of scheduled messages for a channel or a thread. It only re-renders when thenumber changes.
useCanScheduleMessage():schedule-messagecapability, the feature isn't disabled, and no sent message is being edited.SCHEDULE_MESSAGE_CAPABILITYis exported too.Mock builders
