We have already a few PRs open with urgent fixes that are supposed to be merged and released as 1.4.7 soon. Why is it necessary to tag a dummy release immediately? |

ForwardDiff has failed PkgEval on Julia nightly (1.15-DEV) since Nov 2025. JET 0.12 no longer precompiles on 1.14+ because JuliaLang/julia#59413 removed
Compiler.WorldView, and #865 allowed JET 0.13 in the test extras.This is a test-only change, but PkgEval tests the registered version, so it needs a release to fix the failure. The tests pass on nightly locally.
