Summary

Restrict the CondaPkg-managed Python to security-supported patch releases:

  • 3.11.18+
  • 3.12.16+
  • 3.13.18+
  • 3.14.10+
  • 3.15.2+

CondaPkg will download a compliant Python automatically for the default setup. Users with a custom system/static Python can continue to opt out by setting exe/JULIA_PYTHONCALL_EXE or using the CondaPkg Null backend.

Changes

  • Update the Python version constraint in CondaPkg.toml.
  • Document the supported patch releases and the opt-out path in the FAQ.
  • Update the README, docs index, and changelog.

CondaPkg now selects Python 3.11.18+, 3.12.16+, 3.13.18+,
3.14.10+ or 3.15.2+. Custom system/static interpreters can
still opt out via exe or the CondaPkg Null backend.

See context...: JuliaInterop/JuliaCall#287

This is not my face on the PR/commit, but Opencode's developer I guess. :) I'm not sure it should be, my name is here, I don't care either way, though unsure his should be there.

This is basically a one-line change adding: version = ">=3.11.18,<3.12|>=3.12.16,<3.13|>=3.13.18,<3.14|>=3.14.10,<3.15|>=3.15.2,<4"

plus yes, to docs. And my first AI-assisted PR. I was testing this from my terminal...
