feat(schedules): run scheduled jobs in a per-job sandbox microVM - #469
Schedule jobs gain an optional sandbox setting that runs each run's session and its subagents in a dedicated microVM with its own Docker data volume.
Concurrent sandboxed schedules therefore stop colliding on ports, Docker containers and volumes, and test suites that need Docker can start containers at all.
Jobs without the field behave exactly as before.
Change
shared: ScheduleSandboxConfigSchema on ScheduleJobSchema and the create/update requests.
New migration adds a nullable sandbox_config column; db/schedules.ts reads it defensively and writes JSON.
session-sandbox.ts: the update validation is extracted into a public assertSandboxRequestAllowed so schedules and interactive sessions share one check.
schedules.ts:
save rejects sandboxing on non-local targets (400), with server sandboxing off (409), or out-of-range resources (400);
run start sets the session sandbox row and boots the VM with planShell(..., enforced) after session.create and before the first prompt; a blocked plan fails the run with Sandbox could not start: <reason> instead of running unsandboxed;
teardownWorktree becomes teardownRunResources and removes the VM plus Docker volume on every terminal path (completed, failed, cancelled, startup cancel, restart recovery), logging failures without failing the run; worktree commits stay.
index.ts: one SandboxRuntimeService shared by boot preparation, session sandboxing and schedules.
Schedule-management skill text documents the field.
Frontend: "Run in sandbox" switch with CPU/memory inputs, local targets only, disabled with a reason when server sandboxing is off, empty inputs use the server defaults, bounds derived from the shared schema; sandbox state shown in the job detail; the dialog's CPU/memory pair extracted to SandboxResourceInputs and reused by the session sandbox dialog.
Schedules can store sandbox configuration. Local scheduled runs can initialize and remove session sandboxes. The schedule dialog exposes sandbox controls and resource settings, while schedule details display the saved configuration.
Schedule schemas and persistence inputs now include nullable sandbox settings. The migration adds sandbox_config, and database mapping serializes and parses the value. Tests cover migration behavior and configuration persistence.
ScheduleService validates enabled sandbox settings, initializes the session sandbox and plans a shell before prompting, then attempts sandbox removal during teardown. Tests cover validation, startup, cancellation, completion, and cleanup.
The shared resource parser and input component provide CPU and memory bounds and validation. The session sandbox dialog uses the shared inputs, and sandbox settings use the shared bounds.
Schedule sandbox controls and display frontend/src/components/schedules/GeneralTab.tsx, frontend/src/components/schedules/ScheduleJobDialog.tsx, frontend/src/components/schedules/schedule-utils.ts, frontend/src/components/schedules/JobDetailTab.tsx, frontend/src/components/schedules/*test.tsx
The schedule dialog exposes sandbox controls for local targets and submits the selected settings. Schedule details format and display the saved sandbox configuration. Tests cover enabled, unavailable, disabled, and remote-target cases.
chriswritescode-dev/opencode-manager#432: Changes SandboxRuntimeService to use repository environment data in planShell, which the scheduled sandbox run setup uses.

A worktree persistence failure can leave sandbox resources allocated after a run ends. Make sandbox removal independent of worktree teardown before merging, or accept the bounded cleanup risk.

Explanation
The title "feat(schedules): run scheduled jobs in a per-job sandbox microVM" matches the main change. The PR adds an optional sandbox setting to schedule jobs. Each sandboxed run uses its own microVM. The changeset covers the schema, migration, schedule service, session sandbox validation, and frontend controls, and the title names the core feature. The title is 64 characters and 9 words, which fits the guidance for a short single-sentence title.
Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description follows the template's main parts. It has a Summary section and a Change section with detail. It has a Validation section with test and type-check results and a Notes section. The template's Type of Change section is missing, because the author gives no checkbox selection. The Checklist section is also missing. The author reports lint and typecheck results in Validation, but does not mark the checklist items. The Summary and Change sections describe the work clearly.
Resolution
Add the Type of Change selection. Mark "New feature" for this PR. Add the Checklist section from the template and mark each item that applies. Confirm the style items (doc comments only, named imports) and the 80% coverage target.

Remove sandbox resources based on the run session, not the current schedule.
A running sandboxed job can be patched to disable sandbox. The cancel endpoint then reloads that updated job, and teardownRunResources skips removeSessionSandbox because job.sandbox?.enabled is false. The VM and volume can remain allocated.

Fixed 2 file(s) based on 2 CodeRabbit feedback item(s).
Schedule updates only validate the sandbox config when the request supplies sandbox, so pausing or renaming a sandboxed job no longer fails when sandboxing becomes unavailable. Run-time validation still blocks the run itself.
Run teardown removes the sandbox based on the run session's recorded sandbox mode (session_sandbox_modes) instead of the job's current config, so disabling sandboxing mid-run no longer leaks the VM and volume. Non-sandboxed runs still skip msb entirely, rather than dropping the guard as suggested.
