The ignore description explains repo-root-relative matching with examples. The database description states that relative paths use GITHUB_WORKSPACE as their base. |

It seems odd to document a bug fix like this (for ignore). But I'm not against getting knowledge out there any way possible.
v2.24.0 ships cpp-linter 1.15.1, which changes two path rules. Users who upgrade through
@v2can now find both in the input docs:ignore: a path only matches relative torepo-root, sobuildno longer skipssrc/build/(1.14 did, by mistake). The docs now say so and showignore: '**/build|.github'for skipping a folder at any depth.database: a relative path is relative toGITHUB_WORKSPACE, not torepo-root.I checked these rules with cpp-linter 1.15.1 on a test repo containing
build/,src/build/andsrc/x/build/:repo-rootignore.buildsrc/a.cpp,src/build/b.cpp,src/x/build/d.cpp.**/build|.githubsrc/a.cppsrcbuilda.cpp,x/build/d.cpp*/build/(with a trailing slash) matches nothing, and*/buildonly matches one level down, so the docs recommend**/.Summary by CodeRabbit
ignorepaths match relative to the repository root, with examples for matching folders at any depth.databasepaths are resolved from the workspace.
