Unreviewed plugin submission. This came in through the plugin submission form and nobody has reviewed it yet. Please convert this PR to a draft (the automation can't open drafts) and do not merge it until it has been reviewed.

Adds Swarms (third_party/swarms/) as a remote MCP plugin that points at the Swarms Marketplace hosted endpoint.

Submission

Description (as submitted)

The Swarms Marketplace MCP connects agents to swarms.world through one hosted endpoint, https://swarms.world/mcp, with nothing to install. The marketplace holds over 6,600 listings: 5,600+ agents, 900+ prompts, 125 MCP servers, nearly 60 skills and 50+ tools. Assistants can search and fetch any of them, publish and edit their own listings, leave reviews, check account details and credits, and run agents or multi-agent swarms. Anyone can browse the tool list, but calling a tool needs a Swarms API key, and every call runs as the account that owns it.

Testing instructions (as submitted, ends mid-sentence in the payload)

  1. Get an API key: sign in at https://swarms.world and create a key at https://swarms.world/platform/api-keys
  2. Connect the MCP server: add https://swarms.world/mcp as a remote (HTTP) MCP server with the header Authorization: Bearer <your API key>. The tool list (35 tools, such as get_search and get_me) loads without a key.
  3. Try it: ask the assistant to "search the Swarms Marketplace for a research agent" (uses get_search), then "show my Swarms account" (uses get_me, which returns your username, credit balance and listing counts). Without the key, a tool call returns

Changes

  • third_party/swarms/mcp.json: swarms server, type: http, url: https://swarms.world/mcp
  • third_party/swarms/.cursor-plugin/plugin.json: category integrations, logo: assets/logo.png, mcpServers: ./mcp.json
  • third_party/swarms/README.md, CHANGELOG.md, LICENSE, assets/logo.png
  • One row in the root README integrations table and one entry appended to .cursor-plugin/marketplace.json. .claude-plugin/marketplace.json is unchanged.

Things for the reviewer to check

  • Auth header: The submission says every tool call needs a Bearer API key, so mcp.json adds headers.Authorization: Bearer ${SWARMS_API_KEY} and plugin.json declares a required SWARMS_API_KEY variable. This follows the hunter plugin's pattern. Without it, every tool call would fail. Drop it if the server turns out to support OAuth.
  • Duplicate PR: The publisher already has an open PR from their fork for the same plugin: feat(swarms): add Swarms third-party MCP plugin #402. This PR uses the same URL and auth approach. Close whichever one you don't want.
  • Logo: swarms.world and swarms.ai both blocked requests from the automation sandbox, so I couldn't download the submitted logo_url (https://swarms.world/swarms-logo.svg). assets/logo.png is the 256×256 avatar of The Swarm Corporation GitHub organization (https://github.com/The-Swarm-Corporation.png), which shows the Swarms red hexagon mark. Swap it for the submitted SVG if you prefer that one.
  • Not probed: The same block meant I couldn't call initialize/tools/list on the live server. The README's capability table comes from the submission description.

Verification

  • node scripts/validate-plugins.mjs → All plugins validated successfully.

Note

Low Risk
Additive third-party plugin and marketplace listing only; no changes to core repo logic beyond registration and docs.

Overview
Adds a new Swarms integration plugin under third_party/swarms/ that wires Cursor to the hosted Swarms Marketplace MCP at https://swarms.world/mcp via HTTP Streamable MCP, with Bearer auth from a required SWARMS_API_KEY plugin variable.

The change registers the plugin in .cursor-plugin/marketplace.json and the root README integrations table, and ships the usual plugin bundle: plugin.json (integrations category, min Cursor 3.13.0), mcp.json, README, CHANGELOG, LICENSE, and logo assets.

Agents can discover, publish, and run marketplace agents/prompts/tools; tool calls run as the key holder and bill Swarms credits per the plugin docs.
