Adds a Cursor plugin for Rippling's first-party MCP server, following the setup at https://developer.rippling.com/documentation/rippling-platform/rippling-mcp/setup.

What this connects

The plugin points at the Remote MCP server URL an employee copies from Rippling → My IT → MCP connectors. Rippling does not publish one shared URL, so the plugin takes that value as RIPPLING_MCP_URL. Each person then signs in with their own Rippling account. There is no API token or OAuth client to configure.

This is the Rippling MCP for workforce data, not the MCP Gateway used to connect other products, and not a company-wide API token.

What agents can do

The server exposes one code tool. Its description lists the codemode.* functions that signed-in user may call, including people and org lookups, time off, a plain-language question to Rippling AI, draft hires, and custom objects. Time-off requests enter the manager approval queue. Hiring creates a draft for a person to review.

Calls return no data unless an admin has created an access policy and the company has an active Rippling AI trial or subscription.

Plugin files

  • third_party/rippling/ — manifest, mcp.json, README, changelog, license, and logo
  • .cursor-plugin/marketplace.json and the root plugin table

node scripts/validate-plugins.mjs passes.

Connect Cursor to Rippling's first-party MCP server. The remote URL is copied from My IT → MCP connectors, and each employee signs in with their own Rippling account.

Use the vendor's wording for the single code tool and the isolate it runs in.
