taskfuelSubmitted description
Give Grok Bot access to paid tools for generating videos, images, music and speech; searching web and social data; enriching company and contact information; extracting webpage content; running code; and more.
TaskFuel connects these capabilities through one account and prepaid balance. Sign in with browser OAuth. The bundled skill guides tool discovery, price quotes, capped purchases, result recovery and file delivery.
Available tools depend on the live catalog. TaskFuel charges are separate from Grok Bot usage.
Testing instructions (from the submitter)
Connect https://app.taskfuel.ai/mcp via OAuth. Add skills/taskfuel-paid-tools/SKILL.md from the repo as a private skill.
In a fresh Bot, discover tools without spending. Request a github.com lookup and CSV with a $0.05 limit: quote first, stop if over budget, and cap the call at the quote. Recover via get_result without another charge. Unknown prices must remain unknown.
Local validation and manual MCP/private-skill tests passed. Full marketplace installation remains untested; please verify through a reviewer preview.
Reviewer notes
calltool. The skill tells the agent to quote first, cap each call, and ask before calls over $1 or task totals over $5./workspace, Grok scheduling and file tools) and links tohttps://app.taskfuel.ai/using.mdfor live spending policy; reviewers may want to confirm that is acceptable for the Cursor listing.Validation
node scripts/validate-plugins.mjspasses.Note
Medium Risk
Introduces a third-party hosted MCP that can debit a real prepaid balance on agent
call; safeguards live in the bundled skill rather than repo code, so marketplace review of OAuth, spending policy, and Grok-specific skill wording matters before merge.Overview
Adds TaskFuel as a new third-party marketplace plugin under
third_party/taskfuel/, with listings in.cursor-plugin/marketplace.jsonand the root README integrations table. The plugin wires an HTTP MCP server at
https://app.taskfuel.ai/mcp(OAuth) and ships thetaskfuel-paid-toolsskill, which directs agents to discover catalog tools, quotebefore spending, cap eachcallwithmax_amount_usd, confirm larger spends, and recover timed-out work viaget_resultinstead of re-purchasing. Supporting assets includeplugin.json(v0.2.1, TaskFuel as author), README install/spending notes, MIT license, and logo SVG.No changes to existing plugins or core validation scripts beyond the new directory and marketplace rows.
