Outdated details in Mac/README.rst and Mac/BuildScript/README.rst #160547
A few statements in the macOS build READMEs no longer match the build files:
Mac/README.rst
The framework is said to be installed in /Library/Framework/Python.framework; the default in configure.ac is /Library/Frameworks.
With --enable-framework=$HOME/Library/Frameworks the applications go to $HOME/Applications/Python <VERSION> (with a space, PYTHONAPPSDIR in Mac/Makefile.in), not Python-<VERSION>.
python3.x-32 is said to be installed for "all flavors but 64-bit and intel-64". It is installed only when LIPO_32BIT_FLAGS is set in configure.ac, which happens for all, intel and 3-way.
The architecture section ends with "macOS only supports one execution architecture, 64-bit Intel (x86_64)", which predates Apple Silicon (arm64, macOS 11), already covered by the universal2 flavor in the same file.
build-installer.py is said to need "macOS 10.4 or later and Xcode 2.1"; the script's own notes say building installers for 10.4 is no longer supported as of 3.7.0.
Mac/BuildScript/README.rst
The script is called build-install.py; it is build-installer.py.
The recommended universal2 build lists Tcl/Tk 8.6.x; on main the script builds 9.0.4 unless the build machine is older than macOS 10.15 (useOldTk()).
Two typos ("macoS", "we not regularly").
On 3.14, Mac/BuildScript/README.rst also lists OpenSSL 3.0.x while the script builds 3.5.9. On 3.13 the script still builds Tcl/Tk 8.6.18, so the Tcl/Tk change applies to 3.14 and later only.
